Music

Life writes stories.
In addition to music and a catchy melody, the art of a song for me is still a coherent lyric. Not just anything to accompany a song, but lyrics that make sense. Yes, my musical heros are also always good lyricists. Lyrics should touch, should create closeness, should convey something, should help me along. And so I don't just tell irrelevant collected ideas in my songs, but what moves me. I see my music and my musical work primarily as a personal way of passing something on. I am happy if my lyrics inspire and help you.

My songs are available for your playlist on Spotify or almost any other provider of your choice. Just search for David Haueter. Information on lyrics and copyrights can be found with the songs on YouTube.

Long version

David's life follows various parallel paths.

The main path is technical. David completed an apprenticeship as a machine mechanic in a global mechanical engineering company in Winterthur (railroad company...). This was followed by an HF mechanical engineering degree, later an NDS in quality assurance and various other training courses. Today he still works in quality assurance at the same company.

His musical paths began very early on the violin. As (almost) everyone in the family also he played the violin, we had our own family orchestra. David played the violin in the Winterthur youth orchestra until he was 20. Much earlier, in high school, he also took up the piano, guitar and bass. At the age of 15, he wrote his first songs and recorded them on a 4-track cassette recorder. The first big music project was supported and financed by the high school. What an experience to record your own songs in the studio of a well-known swiss artist.

The rest of his musical history is long and varied. For over 35 years, he has performed in various bands and also solo on small and large stages on vocals, piano, bass, guitar or violin or a combination of all of these. In the meantime, more than 1000 performances have come together in all these decades.

There is also the sound engineering paths. This has always been a fascination and led him having his own recording studio as a sideline in the early years of his career (Candle Recording). During this time, instead of producing his own music, David produced many CDs for artists, radio spots, concerts and podcasts for a newspaper, which was also a great experience. A wife, music in various bands, a full-time job and a recording studio was a bit too much. So the studio was sold. David has also been on the road as a sound engineer with the Nasville Rebels for almost 15 years. This commitment always takes him to interesting venues where he can work on the latest mixing console systems.

His radio paths began in 2022, when David and three other friends bought Country Radio Switzerland for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. A web radio station that has 1 million listeners per month and is a small company with just under 20 employees. David is co-owner and, surprise surprise, the sound engineer and responsible for the radio programming.

David is married with Ursi. Unfortunately, they never had children. But that explains why I have a lot of time for the above. We also enjoy traveling and sailing together. Mostly in the Mediterranean, David also has all the necessary licenses.

Ursi was born in Basel in 1973. Ursi trained in sales and care as an FABE. Today she works as an agogin.

Ursi is the photographer and videographer for all our projects. For several years now, she has been training to sing with various artists and can be heard on David's productions. She has also been David's singing partner in live performances for several years.
